Our free COAST sessions are generously supported and funded by Swansea Council’s Shared Prosperity Fund.

The COAST Fund builds on the previous rounds of COAST and its predecessors. It aims to provide free or affordable activities for people who reside or are supported in Swansea. Please only book for one session.

All participants must be over the age of 7 years to take part in these sessions.

These sessions are primarily for kids, so someone under 18 must be included in each booking, as well as someone over 18.

Tasters are aimed at new climbers wishing to try a new sport and will take you through your first steps on the wall.

You will be provided with climbing shoes and chalk for this session.

On completion of the course, adults will be able to register for climbing unsupervised, and we can get the children all set up to be supervised by you as well!

Please arrive at your booked session time; you do not need to arrive earlier than this: Our session times allow for 15 minutes of check-in and briefing, so you can get your full 1 hour and 15 minutes of climbing! (Please be aware that missing your start time may mean you miss the whole session).

What to wear: You will need to wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move, for example, what you would wear during a P.E. lesson or to the gym. Please bring along some thin socks to wear with our climbing shoes.

Open Session: This is an open session with a maximum group size of 6, so you will be possibly be joined by other participants.

At the end of the session, the adults will be able to use any of our centres as independent climbers and supervise up to 2 children. For more details on our supervision policy, click here.

Please arrive 10 minutes early – it takes a little time to check your paperwork and get your shoes fitted.

Gift Voucher: If you are wanting to book using a gift voucher, please call us on 01792 399618 or book in person.

Getting here: We are easy to get to via car, train, or on foot. Find us on google maps Here

Parking: There is plenty of parking at Parc Tawe. Customers will automatically receive two hours worth of free parking but, by registering their car at reception, can receive a further three hours starting from the moment they enter their car registration.

What to wear: Wear loose comfortable clothing (what you would wear to the gym). It can be a little chilly in the winter, so make sure you have some warm clothes. However, you will warm up while climbing – wearing ‘layers’ that can be added or removed as required is ideal. Please bring some thin socks to wear with the climbing shoes.

Lockers: We have free to use lockers, which require your own padlocks (purchasable at reception).  However we cannot take responsibility for your valuables, so ideally do not bring anything of significant value to the centre.

Café: We have a great café serving coffee, cake, sandwiches and soft drinks.

You can cancel your bookings so long as you give us reasonable notice.
