Ladies on Point is a group for women climbers in South Wales to get to know other local female climbers, make friends, have fun, share skills and inspire each other to climb harder.
We run weekly a social on a Tuesday at Flashpoint Swansea with a female Boulder Social volunteer between 6:30-9pm. The volunteer helps to boost the social aspect of the meets and keep the group together after the coach has finished. You’ll just need to sign into the Ladies on Point at reception and go find our Boulder social volunteer in Turquoise! This session cost your normal entry price.
Once a month Flashpoint provides a coaching session by one of our fantastic coaches. The coaching can be informal tips and advice, or a structured session on a particular coaching topic.
Ladies: 18+ yrs
2hr 30
All abilities
This session is for over 18s only.
Sessions start at the booked time – The first 30 minutes are allocated for meet and greets and warming up.
Our Ladies Social is for everyone whether they’re new or advanced climbers to meet each other in South Wales. Come and get to know other local female climbers, make friends, have fun, share skills and inspire each other to climb harder.
Hire: You can hire climbing shoes at reception
Cost: The social session costs your normal entry price and the coaching session is £6 + entry.
Please arrive at your booked session time – you do not need to arrive earlier than this. Our session times allow for a 30 minute check in and meets and greet! However with our social it’s not imperative that you arrive on time, you’ll just need to check in at reception and then find the group, our ladies on point volunteers will be turquoise.
Getting here: We are easy to get to via car, train, or on foot. Find us on google maps Here
Parking: There is plenty of parking at Parc Tawe. Customers will automatically receive two hours worth of free parking but, by registering their car at reception, can receive a further three hours starting from the moment they enter their car registration.
What to wear: Wear loose comfortable clothing (what you would wear to the gym). It can be a little chilly in the winter, so make sure you have some warm clothes. However, you will warm up while climbing – wearing ‘layers’ that can be added or removed as required is ideal. Please bring some thin socks to wear with the climbing shoes.
Lockers: We have free to use lockers, which require your own padlocks (purchasable at reception). However we cannot take responsibility for your valuables, so ideally do not bring anything of significant value to the centre.
Café: We have a great café serving coffee, cake, sandwiches and soft drinks.
You can cancel your bookings so long as you give us reasonable notice. This is different depending on what type of session you have booked.
Single Sessions: 72 hrs notice required
Parties: 7 days notice required.
Term Bookings: 7 days notice required (from the first session)
