Kids Club Taster sessions are a great way to get into bouldering and try out our Kids Club Memberships!
Kids will be in a small group with a coach who will guide them through skills and techniques that can be used both on and off the wall. Climbing is fantastic for agility, balance, coordination skills, confidence, and problem-solving abilities! Many kids who boulder learn abilities for life and continue the sport into adulthood!
The session is made up of warm-up games, skills coaching and open climbing in our world-class bouldering wall.

What Is NICAS?
We use NICAS as the basis for our Club sessions. NICAS is a Nationally recognised scheme which aims to introduce the sport of bouldering to children and progress their skills and techniques as a boulderer.
The scheme is aimed at children aged 7 – 18
How Do I Sign Up?
Once your child has come to one of our taster sessions and has caught the bug for bouldering, NICAS may be for them. Just ask at reception or ask the coach running the session and they will provide you with a NICAS Logbook, which is used to track the boulderers progression. The cost of the logbook is £7.50
GCSE, Duke of Edinburgh and Groups
NICAS can contribute towards the PE GCSE syllabus, the Duke of Edinburgh Award as well as Scout/Guiding badges. Email us for more details.
Please arrive 10 minutes early – it takes a little time to check your paperwork and get your shoes fitted.
Gift Voucher: If you are wanting to book using a gift voucher, please call us on 01792 399618 or book in person.
Getting here: We are easy to get to via car, train, or on foot. Find us on google maps Here
Parking: There is plenty of parking at Parc Tawe. Customers will automatically receive two hours worth of free parking but, by registering their car at reception, can receive a further three hours starting from the moment they enter their car registration.
What to wear: Wear loose comfortable clothing (what you would wear to the gym). It can be a little chilly in the winter, so make sure you have some warm clothes. However, you will warm up while climbing – wearing ‘layers’ that can be added or removed as required is ideal. Please bring some thin socks to wear with the climbing shoes.
Lockers: We have free to use lockers, which require your own padlocks (purchasable at reception). However we cannot take responsibility for your valuables, so ideally do not bring anything of significant value to the centre.
Café: We have a great café serving coffee, cake, sandwiches and soft drinks.
You can cancel your bookings so long as you give us reasonable notice. This is different depending on what type of session you have booked.
